3D Snowy Woodland Cottage 3.5

I don’t think anybody likes to waste time and wait around on things that take forever to complete. With that in mind, I have to say I liked the fact that downloading and installing the Windows version of 3D Snowy Woodland Cottage only took a moment to complete. There’s also a Mac OS X version of the 3D Snowy Woodland Cottage screensaver, but I didn’t put that one to the test.

Speaking of things that don’t take long, the period during which you can use 3D Snowy Woodland Cottage free of charge will seem to fly by very quickly. You can use 3D Snowy Woodland Cottage free of charge for a trial period of only 3 days, which by all measure, is not very much.

While using 3D Snowy Woodland Cottage, the screensaver will kick in whenever your computer goes idle and it will display the following:
Background – in the background you can see snow-covered trees, a deer walking from one side of the screen to the other, and birds fly around from one side of the screen to the other.
Foreground – in the foreground you can see a snow-covered cottage, a snowman in the lower left-hand corner with a smoking pipe in his mouth, and a bunny hopping from one side to the other. From the sky snow keeps falling down.

Music plays in the background by default while the screensaver is running. There are a few settings you can play with as far as sound is concerned. From the screensaver’s Settings menu you can:
- Adjust the volume by moving the slider left (to decrease the volume) or right (to increase the volume).
- Mute the sound either by moving the volume slider all the way to the left or by checking the “Mute” box.
- Get the screensaver to play your own tracks. Click the “Change to Your Music” button and follow the instructions presented there to do this.

From the Settings menu you can also adjust the screensaver’s brightness, adjust the tint, and set the time of day (choose between high noon, sunset, and night).
